"Gong Xi Fa Cai".
Happy Chinese New Year Everybody (:
It's always the most exciting event of the year.
Especially if you don't celebrate Christmas.
Well, My 3 days of Chinese New Year Celebrations were rather pleasant.
And of course, there was no time to do my homework... Well, who had? I went to my cousin's houses, and wished everyone a great year ahead. We made New Year Resoulutions, and mine was to do well in CCA and academically.
There were lots of good food, however i was unable to eat much of it, as i had a sore throat. What a waste, to be unable to eat the food during Chinese New Year. My family (above) went to my cousin's house. There, we had a lot of fun, although the younger children usually formed a group by themselves, as the teenagers in the family would stick to themselves. I collected quite a number of red packets, from my relatives and neighbours. They were all very generous in their givings, and my total amout added up to close to $500! That's a lot more than what i usually would have received. During this celebration, I met a couple of long lost cousins. I have never seen them before and I do not recognise them, although they are older than me. Chinese New Year has always been a great time for me and my family, as we usually do not meet up together, except during festive occasions. One only regret I have is that I was unable to try the delicious food my relatives made when I went to their house. On a high, I hope that Chinese New Year Celebrations to come would all be as good as this one. And i hope to collect more red packets in the following years.
I am sure many of my friends had a great time too, as when i asked them to go out, they didn't reply me. Well, who can blame them? Everyone always enjoys themselves during the festive season.
Happy Chinese New Year Everybody! (even to those who do not celebrate it.)
